Passengers first
Cover follows the person, on taxi, bus, e-hailing, train or private car. You do not need to own the vehicle.
ABOUT WAYSURE
Most insurance is built around a car owner. WaySure is built around the passenger: the commuter in a taxi, on a bus, in an e-hailing car, on a train, or in a private vehicle.
WHY WE EXIST
Too many trips happen without cover that actually pays the person who was hurt, not only the vehicle.
South Africans spend hours on the road. Most of those trips are taken as a passenger, in a vehicle someone else owns and insures.
WaySure is defined-benefit, short-term accident cover. You pay for a trip, a day, a week or a month. You switch cover on in the app before you travel. If a qualifying transport accident happens while cover is active, we pay a fixed cash amount into a South African bank account.
Three principles behind every WaySure policy, from the day you activate to the day we pay.
Cover follows the person, on taxi, bus, e-hailing, train or private car. You do not need to own the vehicle.
Payouts are lump sums for accidental death, disability, hospitalisation and minor injury. The hospital benefit does not settle hospital bills.
The app stamps activation with time and GPS, records the journey and logs impact so a claim has a clear audit trail.
